Sanjay was surprised about how our coaching services provided a development in his writing skills and creativity. Most importantly, he expressed how his coach didn’t provide shallow advice on his essay but rather "instilled in [him] a method of thinking that really helped [him] write [his] college application essays." He also mentioned how it helped him think more critically and creatively, allowing him to express himself in a more authentic and powerful way.

Another aspect of our coaching services that Sanjay found to be useful was the interview preparation calls that his coach provided before interviews with top-tier schools. Sanjay said he felt more “prepared, confident, and knowledgeable” during his interviews, which he believed helped him make a great impression on the admissions committees.

 Sanjay was accepted to Georgetown University as an early action applicant, as well as Duke University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Washington as a regular applicant. After getting admitted to his top schools, Sanjay had to make the tough decision to pick one. He said that it was really difficult to choose one, but after a couple of visits and sending some final aid appeals to some of the schools with us, he committed to Duke. He credits his success to the guidance he received from his college coach and his newfound confidence in being able to effectively communicate his thoughts and ideas through writing.

Sanjay studies Economics and Statistics at Duke, and he is particularly interested in Economic Policy and finding alternative approaches to economic problems. He is also an active member of the Duke community and participates in various activities such as attending basketball games, engaging in lectures, and embedding into the school culture through organizations.
